These terms are between Klaska and the school that signs up. The person who creates the school's account accepts them for the school. Version 2026-09.
Using Klaska
- The school is responsible for who it gives accounts to, and for choosing each person's role.
- Staff must keep their passwords private and must not share accounts.
- The school owns its records. Klaska does not claim any of them.
The school data agreement
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 the school is the data controller and Klaska is its data processor. Klaska agrees to:
- process the school's records only to provide the service, and only on the school's instructions;
- keep each school's records separate and protected, and limit access by role;
- make sure anyone at Klaska who can reach the records is bound to keep them confidential;
- use hosting and database providers only under terms that protect the records the same way;
- tell the school without delay, and within 72 hours at most, if its records are exposed to someone who should not see them;
- help the school answer requests from parents, students and staff to see, correct or delete their information;
- let the school download all its records at any time, and delete them within 90 days of the school leaving and asking.
The school agrees to:
- have a lawful reason for what it records, and get a parent's agreement when registering a child;
- only upload a child's photo when the parent has agreed;
- send each parent's portal link only to that parent;
- tell Klaska promptly if it suspects an account has been misused.
Availability and support
Klaska works to keep the service running at all times but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Registers and tests keep working through short connection drops and send when the connection returns.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the school owner is asked to accept the new version the next time they sign in.
